- Test DI61850 simulator provides simulation of IEC 61850-8-1 compliant data transfer from an IED (intelligent electronic device) to the SCADA level;
- the simulator is implemented as a multiple document interface in OS WINDOWS and allows on one PC to simulate multiple IEC 61850 server operation. For configuring purposes *.ICD files of real devices were used;
- the simulator was tested with ICD files created for SIPROTEC devices using the DIGSI program. SICAM PAS was used as an IEC 61850 client;
- the simulator’s primary purpose is testing middle and top level of an APCS without low level devices using the IEC 61850-8-1 protocol.
